I am Kilmarnock born and bred,
and still live there with my wife, Barbara, and young daughter
Catherine. In 1981 I graduated from Strathclyde University.
Three years later I qualified
as a Chartered Accountant with a national firm of accountants
based in Glasgow.
In 1990 I joined a smaller Chartered
Accountancy practice and spent the last five years there as
a partner before setting up my own practice in Irvine in February
2002.
My ambition in life, to climb
Everest, has faded to a pipe dream. However my interest in all
outdoor activities continues so long as the dodgy knee holds
out.
